Cycling New Zealand Calling For National Selectors - Deadline extended
CNZ is seeking to appoint two National Selectors to support BikeNZ’s road and track cycling High Performance Programmes.
Through its partnership with CNZ, BMX NZ, MTB NZ and Paralympics New Zelaand, BikeNZ is establishing 4 National Selections Panels (road/track, BMX, MTB & Athletes with Disabilities).
The BikeNZ National Selection Panels will comprise 3 National Selectors (National Coach for that discipline and two Selectors nominated by the relevant discipline).
Expressions of interest should be emailed in confidence to BikeNZ High Performance Officer, Hughie Castle, by no later than 5.00pm Friday 9 March 2007. Hughie@bikenz.org.nz The selector’s terms of reference will be made available to applicants.

National Selector Person Specification
· Knowledge and extensive experience of international cycling competition and performance standards required.
· Understanding of the rider performance standards required for Olympic, World and Commonwealth competitions.
· Full understanding of the competition regulations of the International Cycling Union (UCI).
· Available to attend major events on the national cycling calendar where required.
· Demonstrable ability to manage conflict of interest situations and maintain confidentiality at all times when liaising with riders and/or coaching personnel.
