Results for Tuesday 12 June weekly road racing held at the motor racing circuit covering 6 laps, a distance of 20km.
Heavy rain in parts of Taupo township at around 5pm put many riders off tonight, but as soon as we rode out Broadlands Road it was dry and a relatively mild night - so those that turned up had a great ride.
Three handicap groups were started at 2 minute intervals with Carwyn May just pipping Wayne McConaghy in their sprint finish in a time of 29.20min. Spud Douglas and Barry Pritchard were next in a time of 30.20min after both of them ran off the circuit several times due to dodgy front lights.
20 sec later there was a tight bunch who had worked really well together to post good times, they were Ian Carppe, Crunchy, John Carman, Graeme Usher and Jeff Smith.
